Project “I paint a fairy tale”

To bring the first grade children to the figurative transposition of the fairy tales reading made in the library. The illustration as an explanatory moment of the written word.

Structured in two phases. The first consisted of reading the Aesop’s fairy tale “The hare and the turtle”, making the children draw the protagonists of the fairy tale. The second phase by bringing in the decorators of our Chapter, who with great patience and mastery have given a profile to the characters. The prifiles were then reported on the wall with the technique of dusting. The children intervened in the coloring phase of the drawing, with the characters themselves designed. At the end, next to the mural, was written the moral of the story: “With tenacity and constancy you can achieve great goals” In line with the whole project of the Chapter Palio also in other schools adopted. In order to guarantee them maximum safety during the work, the carpenter of our Chapter has created a colorful wooden stage with a rainbow parapet that has made the joy of pupils and teachers. The work was carried out inside the school courtyard, where there are other walls suitable to this kind of decoration, so the project will be repeated in the coming years.
